🏰 Duomo di Milano

There’s no better way to begin than with the breathtaking Duomo. The façade alone stops you in your tracks—but climbing to the rooftop? That’s where the magic happens. Up there, surrounded by statues and spires, with a panoramic view of the city stretching out like a dream—let’s just say it’s worth every step.

🛍️ Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

Step inside and look up. This stunning arcade with its glass dome and intricate mosaics isn’t just for shopping—it’s an architectural marvel. I window-shopped like a pro (okay, I did splurge on a tiny designer perfume bottle—it felt like the right kind of souvenir).

🎨 Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper

Seeing The Last Supper in person is unforgettable. Book way ahead—it’s well worth the early planning. Standing there, in silence, with this masterpiece filling the room—it’s humbling in all the right ways.

🎭 Teatro alla Scala

I didn’t catch an opera, but the museum tour was still a highlight. Velvet-draped history, stories of legendary performances, and a peek at the gilded theater—it’s like stepping backstage in a royal dream.

🍽️ Where to Eat

  • Ratanà – Hands down one of my favorite meals in Italy. Their saffron risotto is rich, golden, and almost too pretty to eat (almost).

  • Trippa – Such a cozy vibe. I loved the modern twist on classic dishes—think handmade pasta that tastes like a warm hug.

  • Peck – If you want to feel utterly pampered, this is the spot. The gourmet spreads and wine pairings? Bellissimo.

👠 Where to Shop

  • Quadrilatero della Moda – This district made me feel like I stepped into Vogue. Even if you’re window shopping, it’s a must for fashion lovers.

  • 10 Corso Como – Artsy, edgy, and full of curated cool. I got lost in the book section and didn’t mind one bit.

  • La Rinascente – A chic department store with a rooftop view that pairs perfectly with an aperitivo.

💤 Where to Stay

  • Hotel Principe di Savoia – The definition of Milanese luxury—think marble bathrooms and chandeliers.

  • NH Collection Milano President – Super central and stylish. I loved being able to walk to everything!

  • Ostello Bello – A trendy little find for budget travelers with personality and perks.

💌 Final Notes

Milan surprised me—it wasn’t just the fashion or the food. It was how the sunlight fell across the piazza, how the echoes lingered inside the cathedral, and how effortlessly the city blends innovation with history. It’s a city that doesn’t shout—it smolders.

Whether you're there for couture or cathedrals, Milan knows how to make an impression.
